Dear Climbing Friends,

Today was the first “day off”. We did some visits offered by the Costa Daurada Tourism Board and the Catalan Tourist Board. First one was to the UNESCO World Heritage of Tarragona, where our guide Paco gave us a nice tour of the old Roman city. We were impressed by the ‘grandeur’ of the Roman realizations. After lunch in Restaurant Almosta de Tarragona, we had a bit of time to discuss “ethics in climbing” with the athletes and their view on it.

After that we left for Reus and visited the Gaudi Center of Reus where we learned about his innovative influence on architecture. All athletes enjoyed an hour of free time afterwards, walking through the city, doing some shopping and buying carnival paint, which ended up into almost everyone’s hair. We closed the day with supper at Sol de Nit Restaurant, which was very good and abundant.

The pictures we present to you today are a small review of today and a larger compilation of the last two days. Enjoy the view on the screen, we enjoyed it live…

Thanks to Michaël and Eddie for the pictures.
